We visited two major cities in China: Beijing and Xi’an. It was the best trip we made overseas. Food was excellent - both Chinese and western.
Beijing has a lot of attractions in and around the city. We landed in October which was the peak of travel season. However, we did not feel “crowded” because most people are courteous and they were amused by my shorts and Hawaii shirts. Our guide told us that if you see a black Audi car with tinted windows it probably has senior Govt people.
Overall, I liked Xi’an a better city than Beijing. That’s where Terracotta warriors were discovered. There are more than a thousand soldiers and they are slightly different. Frankly, Terracotta warriors should have been a Wonder of the World instead of The Great Wall of China.
