We visited only 2 major cities: Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Cape Town is a beautiful city on the southern most tip of Africa where the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean meet.
There is a wild life preserve near Johannesburg which is completely isolated and the housing is in small, individual units. Although big cats (lion, leopard, cheetah) and other wild animals are plentiful it was hard to spot them except in farms. Cheetahs that have been orphaned or injured are nursed and then let free after complete recovery. Most of the wild life we photographed were grass eating animals such as elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, & gazelles. Also included were hyenas and wild dogs. It was a lot of fun!
