Italy is probably the most enchanting place to visit. It has ancient artifacts, Renaissance art, and modern attractions. We traveled mainly in the north of Italy: Rome -> Florence -> Pisa -> Venice.
BTW, Venice is one of the most expensive places to visit. My wife ordered a coffee, my son took a beer, and I took Scotch and soda. The final bill was EUD 38!
Overall, the variety is quite different for various generations. My son liked Rome and my wife liked Florence. I personally liked Venice the best.
